Proud To Be Different – Equality Lyrics

Lalala….

If you’re feeling sad and low,
Don’t fit in or you’ve got no place to go,
Clapham Manor’s here to say,
Just be you each and every day!

Chorus:
Colours of the world (equality!)
Every boy and every girl (equality!)
People of the world (equality!)
Aaaahhh
Slam it to the left – being different is ok!
Shake it to the right – we are special in our way.
Shake it to the left – ha ha! be-you-tiful!
Slam it to the left – and we’re singing it out loud!
Shake it to the right – we’re all different and we’re proud!
Shake it to the left – ha ha! just be-you-tiful!

Lala…..

Any gender, any race,
All religions have a place,
Who you love or where you’re from,
Come join us and …..sing along!

Chorus

If you’re old or you’re young,
religion or have none,
Whatever your gender or body remember…
Love’s for everyone! (Haka) Love’s for everyone! (Haka!)
Ariba! Hahaah!

Chorus

Our Marvellous Winter Production Medley

These are the lyrics for the medley in our Winter Production. Please practise these at home using the soundtrack below!

Party for
Everybody dance
Come on and dance
Come on and dance
Come on and…boom boom!

Lots of diamonds, jewels that glitter,
Make your enemies feel bitter,
Things they’d tweet about on twitter
Deep down in the cave of wonders.
In the sea down where it’s briny,
Gold and silver, gems so shiny,
Pearls that make your head look tiny,
Deep down in the cave.

You’ve gotta dive dive dive for the find of your life,
You’ve got to dive dive dive for the cave!

We need a better plan!
Washing other people’s laundry just ain’t making any money!
We need a better plan!
Scrubbing socks and dirty dresses,
Is just adding to our stresses!
Debtors we are owing
And our bills are growing
We’ll be on the breadline very soon!

You know you gotta speed it up,
And then you’ve got to swim deep down.
Coz if you believe that the treasure’s in the cave,
No time to – play around.
If you’re gonna find what could change your life,
Start making your mind up!

Don’t let your indecision,
Keep you from the prize,
Aladdin it’s your mission!
Don’t let others change your mind.

Every day she just dreams of ways
To get away, to get away.
Every night she awaits the day,
She can go above, to her love.
That creepy octopus is so unkind,
She wants a way, to get away.
She can’t hide all these thoughts in her mind.
She’s trapped in here, but what can she do?

Ooh ah, she wants a little bit!
Ooh ah, a little bit more!
Ooh ah, she wants a little bit
We know what she’s looking for.
Ooh ah, she wants a little bit!
Ooh ah, a little bit more!
Ooh ah, she wants a little bit
Feelings that she can’t ignore.

My my! Aladdin was on the brink of a surrender.
Oh yeah, but now he’s met his destiny in quite a special way.
Coz now he can dive for his wealth,
Without compromising his health!

Waterproof! His wish was granted ‘gainst nature’s law.
Waterproof! To breathe underwater forever more.
Waterproof! Can return to the cave if he wanted to.
Waterproof! Just think of the things that he now can do.
Woah Woah Woah Woah!
Waterproof! Finally, he can be waterproof.

Why, why can’t this moment last forever more?
Tonight, we’ve hit the jackpot and got cash galore!
No, won’t ever stop doing the things we do.
Oh no, don’t turn your back on us coz we’ll con you!

Euphoria
Forever, ’till the end of time
From now it’s just a life of crime!
We’re going u-u-u-u-u-u-up
Euphoria
And we are feeling oh so smart,
Coz we are really mean at heart
We’re going u-u-u-u-u-u-up

Ooh ah!

Every day she just dreams of ways
To get away, to get away.
Every night she awaits the day,
She can go above, to her love.
That creepy octopus is so unkind,
She wants a way, to get away.
She can’t hide all these thoughts in her mind.
She’s trapped in here, but what can she do?

Ooh ah, she wants a little bit!
Ooh ah, a little bit more!
Ooh ah, she wants a little bit
We know what she’s looking for.
Ooh ah, she wants a little bit!
Ooh ah, a little bit more!
Ooh ah, she wants a little bit
Feelings that she can’t ignore.

Feeling like she wants to get away,
It’s got to be! Set her free!
But her father is gonna say:
“No no! You can’t go!”
How can she reach the land above?
She’s asking please, it’s what she needs.
Listen up! This is more than a phase.
She’s dreaming of a love that is true!

(Chorus)

Will she escape the sea?
Where will she go?
Coz she feels, now’s the time!
She feels it deep inside!
(Just a little bit etc and chorus to end)

Here is the track to practise the lyrics.

We look forward to welcoming your comments and will be announcing a ‘Blog of the Week’ in each newsletter.

So what is left to say other than… ready, steady, blog!
